Directions: Leave Edinburgh by the A71 Calder Road. Do NOT use the A8 or you will be caught in horrendous Royal Highland Show traffic! From Hermiston Park and Ride, drive 4.4 miles, through Wilkieston, and turn right at the next set of traffic lights sign posted East Calder, Mid Calder, Pumpherston. Carry on to mini roundabout, where you take 2nd exit, then take 3rd left into Oakbank Road. Drive to cars parked on the right.
By Bus:Take a No.X28 Lothian Country bus @ 09:40 from Stop ZJ on Waterloo Place, arrives 10:21 at Oakbank Road, East Calder, and walk to the start
ON INN: West Clifton Cottage
Return to A71, turn left, and drive to traffic lights in Wilkieston. Turn left, drive 1 mile, then turn left into Clifton Road.
Drive 1 mile to white cottage on left.
There will be a BBQ with rolls, salad and burgers provided, but if you want any other meat, or veggie option, please bring it.
There will be some hash drinks available.
Good idea to bring a folding garden chair, and hope for sunshine!
