Note that the A68 through Dalkeith has been renumbered A6106.
Directions:Go to Sheriffhall Junction and exit on the A68 (A6106) to Dalkeith. At the foot of the hill cross the Esk bridge and take the left exit from the roundabout up the Edinburgh Road and follow the A68 (A6106) through the town. Leave Dalkeith at the roundabout going uphill on the A68 (A6106) and after another
350-400 yards turn right at the signpost for Whitehill and Edgehead. Drive uphill through Whitehill and turn right at the signpost for D’Arcy/Mayfield.
Park IN FRONT OF ME opposite D’Arcy farm cottage.
By Bus: Take a No.3 Lothian Bus 09:25 @ Haymarket, 09:35 @ North Bridge, to Mayfield. Alight at Hughes Crescent where a nameless tarred road runs uphill starting just 25 yards from the bus stop. (Ask the driver if in doubt). It will take you 5-10 minutes to walk up to D’Arcy.
The bus takes between 50-60 minutes to reach Mayfield from Princes Street.
