Directions: Take the M9 towards Stirling. Exit at Jct.3, signposted Linlithgow (A 803). Proceed into Linlithgow. At the roundabout fork slightly right onto the (busy) High Street. Proceed along the High Street. Shortly before a roundabout turn left (Brown coloured signpost to Beecraigs Country Park). Go up the hill. At the eventual crest of the hill do not turn left (which is signposted to Beecraigs Country Park), but continue straight on. Go past a turning to the left (signposted Balvormie / Wairdlaw / Play area). Cockleroy car park is about ½ mile past the hill crest, on the right-hand side.

Public Transport: Not very public transport friendly. If you take the bus or the train to Linlithgow you’ll need to allow about an hour to get from Linlithgow up to the car park.
By Train: Take the 09:30 Glasgow Queen Street train from Waverley Station, arrives Linlithgow @ 09:52, then walk uphill to the start.
